History of Energy Club:
- In 2006, students with energy backgrounds sensed interest among IESE’s student community and organized a presentation on energy sector
- This event had a huge success with 90 attendees and it was decided to found this new "Energy Club"
- The founding team was composed of students from oil & gas, utilities and non-energy sectors. This original mix of backgrounds is still the base of our culture and purpose, while the level of interest keeps rising.
Goals of Energy Club:
- Provide students the adequate information about the Energy Sector
- Enhance recruiting of IESE students in the energy industry
- Build IESE’s brand in the sector, cooperate with IESE’s Alumni Association, build sustainable relationships with recruiting companies
- Integrate the Energy Sector with the Finance and Consulting worlds
- Periodical update of Sector trends and main drivers – oil price and other commodities.
Purpose of Blog:
- To provide a forum to discuss latest developments in energy sector
- To Think Big and To Debate in solving challenging issues: Oil Security, Climate Change, Sustainability, etc
